Saskatchewan Learning

The mandate of the Department is to advance the social, economic and personal well-being of Saskatchewan people. This is accomplished through leadership and support programs from Early Childhood Development, through Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12, to technical training and post-secondary education, and public library services.

Seneca House

A charitable, not- for- profit organization funded by the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Seneca House is a place where adults with mental health problems can go if they are experiencing emotional difficulties. It offers a supportive and caring environment where people can learn to cope with their distress with the help of others who have experienced similar issues.

Sexpressions

Stephanie Mitelman, director, is a founding member of the Sexual Health Network of Quebec (re-launched from the Planned Parenthood Chapter of Montreal in 2005). She is a national trainer on issues of sexual health; training teachers, nurses and front line workers across the country. Her work focuses primarily on prevention issues and healthy relationships.

As a sexuality education specialist, she also works with individuals and couples with special needs, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has a private practice, and writes content for curriculums and classroom kits.

Through the Shamrock Farm Centre for Autism, the Society will provide highly effective treatment and intervention to people with Autism and their Families. The centre will help many persons with ASD learn to communicate effectively, share in family life or gain meaningful employment.

SNOW Inclusive Learning and Education

SNOW is a branch of the Inclusive Design Research Centre at OCAD University that focuses on Inclusive Education and Learning. Our goal is to provide information and training about technologies and inclusive practices both in and outside the classroom. SNOW is for educators, parents, guardians and students and our resources are free whenever possible. SNOW is committed to providing open source tools that can be adapted and used freely.
