The PEI Council of the Disabled was formed in 1974 by concerned people with disabilities. Its original mandate was to speak out on issues such as housing, education, employment, transportation, human rights and access to support services, all of which it continues to address today.
Provides quality service to adults with an intellectual disability. We are committed to supporting individuals with a disability to live in and be active members of the community.
The Social Programs division provides supports and services to people with disabilities in Prince Edward Island to help them enjoy a good quality of life.
