British Academy of Childhood Disability

The British Academy of Childhood Disability (BACD) is an organisation for professionals working in the field of childhood disability in the UK.

The group operates as an affiliate group of the British Association of Community Child Health, a specialty group of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and as the UK branch of the European Academy of Childhood Disability.

British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD)

BILD is the British Institute of Learning Disabilities. We want people with learning disabilities to be valued equally, participate fully in their communities and be treated with dignity and respect.

Dr. Geoff Thorley (UK)

Dr Thorley is a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychologist and Neuropsychologist  providing assessment and therapy services for young adults up to the age of 21 years.

Handsel Trust

An independent social enterprise working through England and Wales. Our aim is to work to help improve services and support for the families of children with disabilities. We do not have a remit to work with individual families but instead, our role is to work with the practitioners who work with the families.

Learning Disability (UK)

Founded in 1949, the Mental Health Foundation is a leading UK charity that provides information, carries out research, campaigns and works to improve services for anyone affected by mental health problems, whatever their age and wherever they live.

Parents for Inclusion (UK)

Parents for Inclusion is a network of parents of disabled children and children with ‘special needs’. In our families and as an organization we have worked together with disabled people to build inclusive communities in ordinary life, where all people are truly welcome.

Rebound Therapy Dot Org

Rebound Therapy it is the use of trampolines to provide therapeutic exercise and therapy for people with a wide range of special needs.This website exists to provide an opportunity for those involved in Rebound Therapy to publish and share their experiences and for students and practitioners to find and request information.
