Parenting & Family Resources in Alberta

Being a parent or sibling of an autistic child is full of joys and challenges. The same goes for anyone who is a parent on the spectrum. Search our resources for any information regarding "parenting and family"

Alberta Association for Community Living

A family based, non-profit organization representing the interests of children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families from across Alberta.

Caregiver Centered Care

Caregiver Centered Care is person-centered care for family caregivers. It is about a collaborative working relationship between families and health and community care professionals. This means supporting family caregivers in their caregiving role, decisions about services, care management, and advocacy.

Health Help Alberta

We are a team of students motivated by personal struggles–and the struggles of those we know–to navigate the healthcare system and find appropriate resources for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), especially within families such as immigrants who are hindered by limited English language literacy. Our goal is to make this process as easy as possible for such families, and to help them take advantage of the several programs that are available to them.
