Mira – Guide Dogs

Founded in 1981, Mira is a non-profit organization that offers free guide dogs and service dogs to people living with visual impairments and physical disabilities and to youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Stephanie Mitelman, director, is a founding member of the Sexual Health Network of Quebec (re-launched from the Planned Parenthood Chapter of Montreal in 2005). She is a national trainer on issues of sexual health; training teachers, nurses and front line workers across the country. Her work focuses primarily on prevention issues and healthy relationships.

As a sexuality education specialist, she also works with individuals and couples with special needs, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has a private practice, and writes content for curriculums and classroom kits.

Trait d’Union Outaouais Inc. (Gatineau)

Un organisme communautaire à but non-lucratif qui dessert l’ensemble de la région de l’Outaouais. L’organisme a pour mission de donner des services de réadaptation psychosociale à des enfants et adolescents de 0 à 21 ans ayant un diagnostic d’autisme ou autre trouble envahissant du développement, tout en offrant un soutien à leur famille et à leur entourage.
