Autism Society Manitoba

Dedicated to the promotion of quality of life for people with Pervasive Development Disorder/Autism and their families. Our educational resources, advocacy, and structured social opportunities are a benefit to families and professionals and make a significant contribution to our community.

Babysits – Special Needs

A Canadian website that lists babysitters with experience in looking after special needs children. Children come in all shapes and sizes; some need a bit of extra attention and care. However, finding a babysitter capable of caring for your child’s special needs can be difficult. This is why the Babysits for Special Needs program exists; for parents who are looking for the right attention and specialized care for their child.

BC Association for Community Living

A provincial association dedicated to promoting the participation of people with developmental disabilities in all aspects community life. We also support activities dedicated to building inclusive communities that value the diverse abilities of all people.

BC Centre for Ability

A non-profit organization with over 34 years of experience in the field of disabilities, providing individualized therapy and support services to children and youth in their homes and communities, specialized community living services and comprehensive vocational and support services for adults, and promoting successful community participation for individuals with disabilities.

BC Coalition of People with Disabilities

A provincial, cross-disability advocacy organization. Our mandate is to raise public and political awareness of issues that concern us. We hope, through our work, to facilitate the full participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of society and to promote independence.

BC Therapeutic Riding Association

Provincial organization for groups providing horseback riding as therapy for people with disabilities. We are a registered charitable organization, committed to improving the quality of life for young people and adults who have disabilities.

Between Friends Club

Enables participants to experience a sense of belonging and an enhanced quality of life. This is accomplished by providing quality social and recreational opportunities focusing on children and young adults with disabilities.

Beyond the Box Basics

The purpose of Beyond the Box Basics is to encourage awareness of abilities and to provide information on the “how to” of successfully involving children/students with diverse needs. Presentations will be individually tailored to meet the needs and numbers of the workshop participants.

Bloom Wellness Collective – Calgary

Bloom is a playful, non-judgemental and supportive community that enhances the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families through a comprehensive range of Expressive Arts & Movement Programs that strive to pursue joy, sustain health and offer belonging and purpose.

Bridgeway Academy

A Designated Special Education Private School (DSEPS) in the province of Nova Scotia. Provides individualized programming for students who have been diagnosed with learning disabilities (LD) and/or Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Students are average or above-average intelligence, but struggle with a specific neurological disorder that impacts their ability to store, process, retrieve or communicate information.

British Columbia Art Therapy Association

Founded in 1978 to foster the professional development of art therapy in British Columbia. The Association acts as a provincial voice governing the standards and practice of the profession and its practitioners.

C.H.A.D.D. (Calgary Chapter)

A charitable family-based organization formed to better the lives of individuals with ADD/ADHD and those who care for them.
