CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research

Research programmes at CanChild concentrate on children and youth with disabilities and their families within the context of the communities in which they live. Our focus is on the interrelationships between individuals, their families, communities, and health systems.

Caregiver Centered Care

Caregiver Centered Care is person-centered care for family caregivers. It is about a collaborative working relationship between families and health and community care professionals. This means supporting family caregivers in their caregiving role, decisions about services, care management, and advocacy.

Champions Career Centre

A partnership of agencies, employers and government sponsors and shareholders dedicated to increasing the participation of disabled individuals in the Calgary and Southern Alberta workforce.

Chatham-Kent Family Support Network

An incorporated, non-profit charitable organization, comprised primarily of families who have children with special needs, with representation across the municipality of Chatham-Kent.

Children’s Centre – Thunder Bay

A children’s mental health centre. We provide mental health services and support services to troubled children, adolescents and their families. We are a United Way agency.

Children’s Link Society

A central source of information for families of children with special needs in the Calgary area and the Rocky View Region.

Chrysalis

Offers assessment, vocational training, employment, and alternatives to employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Citizen Advocacy

Uses a unique future planning process(developed by PLAN,our Parent organization) for people with disabilities. It is a seven step process that families can follow to create a safe and secure future for their loved one. Each future plan is tailor- made to meet your family’s needs. It begins with your wishes and dreams for the future and addresses any issues and concerns you may have.
