ABA Educational Resources

This site is devoted to providing ABA resource materials to children involved in an ABA program.

ABC Kids OT

An Occupational Therapy clinic, featuring a large sensory integration gym in a unique home-setting.  The home-setting offers comfort to both the caregiver and the child, as well as a big backyard with a trampoline and ample room for outdoor fun.

ACIS Children’s Intervention Services

An organization devoted to providing information, workshops, training and holistic intervention to families and children with Autism/PDD and other developmental disorders.

ACT (Autism Community Training)

A province-wide information and referral service created to support families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We offer families (and professionals) a wide range of positive and practical information on everything from sleep problems and diet, to core issues such as diagnosis and aspects of intervention, including information on setting up programs for their children.

Alberta AdaptAbilities Association

AdaptAbilities strives to provide exceptional motor development and life skills programming for children with special needs. We are dedicated to establishing long-term relationships with our families through high quality services that build life-long skills.

Alberta Association for Community Living

A family based, non-profit organization representing the interests of children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families from across Alberta.

Alexander Society

Provides arts-based educational programs to children and teens with special needs, resources for people working with special needs populations, organizes workshops and special guest speakers, produces materials such as videos and workbooks, and promotes the inclusion of people with special needs into their communities.

Alpha Bee

Provides quality evidence-based behaviour programs and services to children and youth with autism and other developmental exceptionalities through direct services, training of family members and consultation to the community. Offers treatment centres in Etobicoke and Hamilton and home based IBI in the GTA, Peel, Halton, York regions and the City of Hamilton.

Provides a wide range of high quality, dependable and inclusive child care, support and information services to meet the diverse child care needs of families and children.

Applied Behavioural Interventions

Committed to providing their students with the necessary tools so that they may live their life to its greatest potential. Using the principles of applied behaviour analysis, they emphasize language and social skill acquisition using a verbal behaviour approach within the comforting environment of your home. Working with the entire family, they are committed to parent and sibling training so that learning and development continues, even when they are not there.

Association for Supported Community Connections (no website)

ASCC currently provides In-Home Respite, Out of Home Respite, Community Support, Life Skills Training, and Transitional Planning. ASCC also has a children/youth respite home called “Maitland House” that is located in Spruce Grove, Alberta. Maitland House provides 24 hour support for up to 30 days a year.

Autism Aspergers Friendship Society

The AFS provides respite care in a recreational environment for families with children-teens-adults in the Autism/Aspergers/PDD spectrum in the Calgary area.

Autism Early Childhood Therapy Program

The program is for preschool children who have a diagnosis of autism or pervasive developmental disorder. Enrollment is limited. Children living within the boundaries of the Saskatoon Health Region and the five school division partners are eligible.
