Treating Autism

Treating Autism, a charity run entirely by parents, provides information and support to families and individuals affected by autism with the aim of improving their quality of life and reducing disabling symptoms of autism.

Vancouver Asperger Autism Union

A place where those with Asperger Syndrome (AS) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can form social and support networks by connecting on line and meeting up on a regular basis.

Vancouver Parents Transition Group

An education and support group for parents of youth with disabilities who are transitioning to adulthood. The group meets once per month and features guest speakers who provide information and support to families.

Varsity Education, University of Calgary

Provides an inclusive educational alternative to young adults with moderate to severe developmental disabilities by encouraging and supporting them to participate in a post-secondary experience. Also provides continuing support to the graduates of the post-secondary education program in a workplace environment (Graduate Support Services).

Affiliated with the University of Calgary, the VRRI is recognized as a leader in the field of disability services and research.

Vela Microboard Association

Vela Microboard Association dedicates itself to honouring the rights of, and eliminating the barriers for, people with disabilities. This includes the right to freedom, equality, control over their own lives, and to be fully included as valued citizens in the relationships and the opportunities of community life.

Wirral Autistic Society

The Wirral Autistic Society has a commitment to ensuring that people with autistic spectrum disorders are offered a high quality service, specifically targeted at their unique disability. Wherever practical, preference will be given to people within our catchment area, but this does not preclude applications from elsewhere.
