Footholds Therapy Center

Offers a broad range of assessment and therapeutic services to all people with special needs irrespective of their developmental stage. Their unique programming offers behaviour intervention, social and life skills training, academic support, and other services to youth of all ages.

Health Help Alberta

We are a team of students motivated by personal struggles–and the struggles of those we know–to navigate the healthcare system and find appropriate resources for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), especially within families such as immigrants who are hindered by limited English language literacy. Our goal is to make this process as easy as possible for such families, and to help them take advantage of the several programs that are available to them.

Housing through an autism lens

This non-profit project will develop pathways to secure housing for Autistic adults that include supports and services as needed, as well as solutions for home builders. Long term, these solutions will increase safety and reduce risks — including the risk of homelessness for Autistic adults.

Macy’s Autism Pals

Parents of 3 boys with autism who train service dogs for children with autism. They deliver our dogs anywhere in the USA as well as train the families getting the dogs.

Mealtimes on the Spectrum

Mealtimes on the Spectrum is an online toolkit for supporting families of children with autism spectrum disorders to make mealtimes meaningful, functional, and healthy. Mealtimes are important for families with children with autism. This toolkit provides information, resources, recipes, and stories for parents of children on the spectrum.

Mira – Guide Dogs

Founded in 1981, Mira is a non-profit organization that offers free guide dogs and service dogs to people living with visual impairments and physical disabilities and to youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Pastel Education

Pastel Special Education aims to support educators and families with children on the autism spectrum. We understand that teachers and childhood educators strive to provide the highest quality education for their students, and we understand that working with children with autism spectrum disorder can be challenging. We hope to alleviate these challenges and promote supportive interactions through our augmented reality application and educational videos. Our method is to place individuals in the shoes of a child with autism and provide practical skills that can be applied. Through this, we hope to help people understand autism, build empathy, and learn skills to support children.

Peel Children’s Centre

A fully accredited, community-based children’s mental health centre. Located centrally within the Region of Peel, the Centre offers a comprehensive continuum of high quality, innovative services to more than 4,000 children, youth and their families each year.

Pyramid Educational Consultants

Pyramid’s goal to help individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and/or communication challenges learn to shape their own lives and participate in the world around them. Using a blend of broad spectrum applied behaviour analysis and practices supported by research and positive results, they give learners the skills to tell you what they want, what they need, what they see, and the unique educational environments they need to learn and grow towards greater independence.

Shamrock Farm Centre for Autism

Through the Shamrock Farm Centre for Autism, the Society will provide highly effective treatment and intervention to people with Autism and their Families. The centre will help many persons with ASD learn to communicate effectively, share in family life or gain meaningful employment.

Siblings Canada – Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence

Siblings Canada, an initiative of the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence (CCCE), raises awareness of the critical role siblings play in creating robust and responsive systems of care for people with disabilities. We serve as a source of relevant knowledge, learning and resources for sibling caregivers and the organizations supporting them.
